Confirmation Ministry

about confirmation

Confirmation Ministry provides students (grades 5-12) with an opportunity to take deep & meaningful ownership of the faith that they were given at their Baptism. Through our year long confirmation ministry, students will walk through the Scriptures and the Small Catechism alongside their parents, DCEs and pastor and other mentors from the church. Confirmation also provides a more robust period of intruction theology and doctrine, while also priotizing lasting, meaningful relationships with peers and adults in the church. Students will additionally be equipped to wrestle with some of the big questions of life and faith, and parents will be encouraged and equipped to disciple their families. Confirmation is not the end all of spiritual formation; rather, it is one step in a lifelong journey of following Jesus!

Confirmation information meetings

This summer, we will be offering two in-person meetings for families to learn about confirmation, its structure & expectations, as well as if their student is ready for it. Each family needs only attend one of these two meetings, but at least one parent should attend with their student! There will be a light lunch provided at each meeting, so please RSVP here so that we can prepare enough food accordingly. Attending one of these meetings is purely informational. You won’t be registering your student at this point.
